The BEAUTY of Senegal (in pictures)

Hola chicos!

I just wanted to show you a little bit about the beautiful city of Dakar in Senegal. Some of my favorite places have been down by the beach and at this super cool HUGE exercise park on the beach up on top of these huge cliffs. Today I took the Pulpo to exercise with me and we are both very sore. Check out the exercise equipment. I love how they put rocks on some of the machines to make them even heavier! I have never seen so many people working out in one place! The Senegalese are very fit people... every time you walk down the street people are out running, playing soccer, or just doing practice drills. It is AMAZING!

I also stumbled across a random golf course. I am not sure if anyone ever plays there? (Check out the last hole on the first picture. I am standing at the hole... I have no idea how you make that shot!) But it was such a pretty landscape. The trees also look like they are being blown over but they are just frozen that way from so much ocean wind.

Lastly, the ocean is just beautiful. If you skip a rock super far, you might be able to reach me! There is nothing in the way from the USA shore to the Senegalese shore... how cool is that?! We are just one ocean away. The most amazing thing about the ocean is that the waves are GINORMOUS. Bigger than I have ever seen before. The pictures don't do it justice but oh my word, they are HUGE. I have yet to see anyone swimming in the ocean yet (probably because it would be too dangerous with the big waves) but I have heard rumors that sometimes people surf them!
